Blind

Flickers of darkness

vanished as I walked

along a street

of lampposts and fireflies

in my desire

that was you

One by one

replicas of a dead star’s light

slowly creeped

from the silicate boxes

webs of alleys

I could then see

Never made a turn

I walked and walked

the street

of lampposts and fireflies

only to find out

that it was blind

Turned my back

but the light was gone

just as the star was dead.
